activities of the Office of the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection in November 2024

I. Cases statistics

In November 2024, the Office of the Commissioner received a total of 2,527 cases, namely:

• 2,091 cases related to access to information,
• 225 cases related to personal data protection,
• 86 cases related to the misdemeanor proceedings in both fields of the Commissioner’s competencies,
• 125 cases related to both fields of competencies and work of the Commissioner’s Office.

This month, the total number of resolved cases is 1,725 (1,115  —access to information, 374 —data protection, 93 — misdemeanor proceedings, 143 —harmonization, cooperation, education, certification, and reporting in both areas of the Commissioner’s competencies).

According to the available records of the number of calls, 1,562 contacts were made to assist the authorities in terms of submitting Annual Reports to the Commissioner and registering on the Portal for submitting Annual Reports, as well as during registration in the Unified Information System of Informants Booklets and creating Information Booklets. The calls also referred to assisting the citizens and Data Controllers in implementing the Law on Personal Data Protection and their work cases and helping the authorities and citizens exercise the right to free access to information.
