Yesterday, Commissioner Milan Marinović participated in the expert meeting “Establishment of video surveillance in local self-governments and personal data protection”, where he spoke about the legal framework and obligations of local self-government during the establishment and use of video surveillance. On that occasion, the Commissioner once again pointed out the importance of regulating this area systematically.
Emina Kovačević, Head of the Department For Supervision Over Data Protection In Public Authorities, Territorial Autonomy Authorities, Local Self-Government Units in the Commissioner’s Office, was also one of the panelists in the meeting.
