Commissioner Milan Marinović and Deputy Commissioner Sanja Unković participated in the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2025) held from 3 to 6 March 2025 in Barcelona
As part of the so-called GSMA Ministerial Programme, the world’s leading forum for policymakers and global industry leaders from the mobile ecosystem and related industries, the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner participated as panelists in a roundtable on Future Proofing Data Privacy, which brought together Data Protection Authorities from Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America, and discussed issues of interoperability of data privacy frameworks from different regions and jurisdictions, the implementation of “data free flow with trust”, and the need for data protection supervisory authorities to play a more effective role in implementing “smart” data privacy laws.
