Citizens’ Data Comes First: Secretaries from All Over Serbia at Large-Scale Training on “Personal Data Protection” in Novi Pazar

As part of the “V Meeting of the Network of Secretaries of City, Municipal and City Municipal Assemblies”, a two-day training course on the implementation of the Law on Personal Data Protection was successfully carried out in Novi Pazar.
The event brought together around 70 secretaries and employees of local governments across Serbia, and was implemented in cooperation with the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection and the Standing Conference of Cities and Municipalities (SKGO).
This training is part of the “Partnership for Good Local Governance” project, supported by the Government of Switzerland and the OSCE Mission to Serbia.
Through interactive lectures and dynamic discussions, the Commissioner’s accredited lecturer, Aleksandra Lakićević, presented the key aspects of the law to the participants.

The successful implementation of this training represents an important step in strengthening the capacity of local governments, raising the level of legal certainty, and ensuring more efficient protection of the right to data protection of all citizens of Serbia.
