Activities of the Office of the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection in January 2026:

I Case statistics

In January 2026, the Office of the Commissioner received a total of 2.665 cases, namely:

• 914 cases related to access to information,
• 1.609 cases related to personal data protection,
• 22 cases related to the misdemeanor proceedings in both fields of the Commissioner’s competencies,
• 120 cases related to both fields of competency and the work of the Commissioner’s Office.

This month, the total number of resolved cases is 1.227  (749 — access to information, 351 — data protection, 51 — misdemeanor proceedings, 76 — harmonization, cooperation, education, certification, and reporting in both areas of the Commissioner’s competencies).
